The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, was established as an independent faculty in 1987 with an intake of two postgraduate students per year which over the years, with the guidance of able and experienced faculty and up gradation of infrastructure, increased to 6 students per year.

The Faculty offers a dynamic and unique suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to produce dental practitioners and research oriented postgraduates of the highest caliber and international standing.

The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, located on the first floor of the main building designated as room number (3), covers a total area of 7466 square feet, which divides to include an undergraduate and postgraduate clinic with its independent waiting lounge, staff chambers, library, internet cabin and a special recreation room for children.

The Department is well equipped with 40 Dental chair units, complete laboratory set up, X-ray Unit with RVG ,conscious sedation, painless procedures like lasers  and latest audio visual aids creating a perfect ambience with a pleasant flow of music which enables the student doctors to deliver high quality dental care to the child patient at ease .Also dental camps are conducted in regular intervals to instill oral hygiene importance in pediatric patients and to render required treatment.
